OVERVIEW

The XB-25E Mitchell was a converted B-25C (Serial: 42-32281) solely used to test De-icing and Anti-icing equipment. .

In the end, though the de-icing method worked, it proved to be too costly to build and therefore was not adopted for mass production. This concept was adopted in later years and still used today.
